Caroline Simard, Ph.D.
Board Treasurer (Jan 2020 - Dec 2024), Center for Institutional Courage
About Caroline Simard
Just think: What if all institutions were courageous? I joined the Board because institutional courage provides a framework to create fundamental change in society. Together, we can close the gap between talk and action in creating workplaces that live up to ideals of equity, respect, and care. As Treasurer, I lead the financial strategy and administration for the Center for Institutional Courage. I am also the Managing Director of a Stanford research lab that creates and disseminates research-based solutions to advance women’s leadership. As a manager myself, I have immense respect for the practitioners who are tasked with turning institutional policies into courageous action on the ground. This is where the hard work lives! Outside of work, I love spending time with my wonderful husband and daughter and expressing my French roots with food and friends, traveling, and volunteering.
